A Dragonfly (Dragonflies) Retro circa 1970s inspired Platform Shoes Sculpture created by Mike Juarez of MountainBean Mosaic in Colorful Colorado. The Native American lore of the Dragonfly is all about living to the best of your ability and conducting yourself in a compassionate and caring manner. Like the Dragonfly life is always changing and change is always a good thing when making smart choices. Don't ever become stagnate and non-productive. Move forward and achieve the ultimate in your dreams of success and in relationships with those who may cross your path. With that in mind, changes have taken place at MountainBean Mosaic. The new series of Mosaic Sculptures have evolved into lighter weight armiture, transportable and convenient purchases. Yet they are just as durable as the original pieces. Shipping these mosaics is now possible without the worry of arriving damaged. This pair of sculpture was made using ceramic tile in shades of Hydrangea, Jasmine and Cardamom. A wide variety of colorful small porcelain and glass tile were incorporated into the platform part of each shoe including the 4.5 inch heels. Each Measures in at about 12inches long by about 5 inches wide by 8.5 inches high. Three Dragonflies are inset to each platform shoe with faux gems and small glass and porcelain tiles. Great in a niche, a display pedestal or on the floor as installation art.
